Once nomadic sheep herders, two refugee families from Mauritania, Africa, came to Georgia to begin new lives.

None had any formal schooling. Now, after two months at Jubilee Partners, a Christian community devoted to ministering to refugees, they can recite their ABC's and are able to write their names.

When they first arrived, everything seemed foreign. Even doorknobs were an obstacle that prevented them from opening doors. But with the help of Jubilee Partners, the door to their new lives has opened.
